Terms of Service

Effective date: August 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of qart.uk. By claiming a code or buying credits, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What qart.uk is

qart.uk generates QR codes as artwork and verifies that they scan. Two things share the site:

qart.uk is operated by the same people as thinkwith.pictures. Those are separate services with separate terms; these terms govern qart.uk only.

Your account

You sign in through Discord or Google. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use qart.uk, and at least 18 to buy credits.

Codes you claim

A claimed code is yours to keep and to point wherever you like. The pixels encode a short qart.uk link rather than your destination, which is what lets you change the destination after printing.

Because a qart.uk code redirects through our domain, we place limits on where it may point. Destinations must be ordinary https web addresses. We reject URLs containing credentials, IP-literal hosts, private or non-public hosts, and URL shorteners. We may disable a code that points at content which is illegal, deceptive, malicious, or which puts our domain's reputation at risk.

A disabled code is not returned to the pool. The alias may already be printed on physical media, so it is retired rather than reissued to someone else.

We do not guarantee that any particular code remains claimable, or that the pool is replenished.

Generated images

Images are produced by AI models against the payload and style you supply. You are responsible for what you ask for and for how you use the result. Similar prompts may produce similar results for different customers; we do not promise that any image is unique.

You may use images you generate for any lawful purpose, including commercially.

Every image offered to you has been decoded by a QR detector and matched against your exact payload. That is a strong check, but it is not a guarantee that every scanner, at every print size, under every lighting condition, will read it. Test a code yourself before committing it to a print run.

Credits and payment

Studio credits are prepaid and denominated in credits, not currency. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your card details.

Credits are a prepaid balance for using the service. They are not currency, not transferable between accounts, and have no value outside qart.uk. They do not expire.

What a run costs, when you are charged, and what is refunded is described in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may disable codes, restrict features, or close accounts that breach these terms.

Availability

qart.uk is provided "as is" and "as available". Generation depends on third-party GPU infrastructure and can be interrupted. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Where a paid feature is unavailable, the Refund Policy governs what happens to credits you have already spent or reserved.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Our total liability for any claim relating to the paid service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You are responsible for testing a code before printing it. We are not liable for the cost of reprinting physical media.

Termination

You may stop using qart.uk at any time and may ask us to delete your account. Deleting your account disables the codes you claimed and forfeits any unspent credits — if you have a balance you care about, spend it or contact us first.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change this page and its effective date. Continuing to use qart.uk after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. The terms in force when you made a purchase govern that purchase.
